Service Description

Putting your boat up for consignment with Marine Plaza is the best way to get high cash value for your used boat without having to deal with the hassle of selling. Here is how our process works.


  1. When the boat arrives at Marine Plaza a mechanical inspection will be completed by one of our qualified techs. This gives us all the information needed to sell your boat. There is a cost of $120 + HST but its well worth the information we are then able to give to potential buyers. 
  2. Once the inspection has been completed, we will then take a minimum of 12 pictures of your boat, both inside and out. We will be very honest with our picture and will include any damage to the boat in these pictures.
  3. The pictures and a description will be posted on Auto trader, Kijiji, Facebook marketplace and our website. 
  4. We will take care of all the selling inquiries and do our very best to get the best value for your boat. 
  5. With any offer given below the agreed selling price you will receive a call from us to see if you would like to move forward with the offer or negotiate. 
  6. Once the boat has been sold, we will then give you a call to come pick up your money! When you come in to collect your money an invoice for listing the boat will need to be paid. The cost is %10 + HST of the selling price. 


Things to bring.

  1. Boat ownership / Pleasure craft licensing paperwork.
  2. Trailer owner ship signed on the back in the signature of seller box.
  3. Any manuals or service records
  4. Any extras you would like to sell with the boat ( example safety equipment, GPS units, storage cover, ect) 


Best to do before bringing the boat in.

  1. Make sure all paperwork related to the boat is in your name. The bank draft the buyer brings for payment will be made out to the name on the Pleasure craft licensing paperwork. 
  2. The cleaner the boat the more people will be interested in looking at it. Clean out any garbage, old moldy life jackets, leaf’s , bugs ect. We do offer cleaning services here if you would like us to clean the boat before taking pictures. 
  3. We like to have 2 prices from you when listing the boat for sale. Since buyers will negotiate it is best to have the price you want for the boat and the price you are willing to take for the boat. This gives the sales team the ability to negotiate on your behalf. If any offer comes in lower, then you willing price we will call you before accepting the offer.
